Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Hoffman Estates

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fremd, Hoffman Estates was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Barrington Fillies/Broncos a 2-0 shutout. The victory was all the more spectacular given Hoffman Estates' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Barrington are ranked 39th).

Hoffman Estates is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7-2 record this season. As for Barrington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4-2.
