For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Fowlerville and Portland meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Gladiators took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Gladiators haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Fowlerville's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Portland, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Fowlerville will be playing at home against Eastern at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Quakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.57 runs per game on average), something the Gladiators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Portland, they will venture away from home to face off against Eaton Rapids at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
