Greenville is 9-1 against Coxsackie-Athens since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Riverhawks at 4:30 p.m. Greenville is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Greenville and Maple Hill had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Spartans came up short against the Wildcats on Monday, falling 27-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Wildcats since May 11, 2017.

Molly Gardiner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Robertson, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Coxsackie-Athens made easy work of Germantown on Monday and carried off a 12-2 victory. The Riverhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Coxsackie-Athens is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Greenville skirted past Coxsackie-Athens 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Riverhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
