Basketball Game Preview: Jac-Cen-Del Eagles vs. Loogootee Lions

The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Loogootee Lions at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jac-Cen-Del knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Loogootee likes a good challenge.

Jac-Cen-Del is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Southwestern just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. The match between them and the Rebels didn't end well, with Jac-Cen-Del falling 72-57. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Rebels are ranked 94th).

Meanwhile, Loogootee beat Springs Valley 44-37 on Saturday.

Jac-Cen-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Loogootee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
