Football Recap: Poca Drops Season-High Score on South Harrison

Poca scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 44-38 to the South Harrison Hawks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (35), the Dots still had to take the loss.

South Harrison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Tustin, who rushed for 207 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Tustin a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Shepard Paugh, who rushed for 97 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries.

Poca's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for South Harrison, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Poca will face off against Hannan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Harrison, they are taking a road trip to square off against Clay County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
