Baseball Recap: Whittier RVT Wildcats vs. Haverhill Hillies
Whittier RVT was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Haverhill Hillies by a score of 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for Whittier RVT.
Corey Deziel and Nate Dietenhofer did most of the damage at the plate: Deziel scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Dietenhofer went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Koch, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Whittier RVT now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Haverhill, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Whittier RVT will head out on the road to take on Taunton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Taunton will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Whittier RVT surely won't give up without a fight. Haverhill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
