Softball Recap: Wildwood Catholic Takes a Loss

If Wildwood Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Pleasantville on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders lost 11-0 to the Atlantic City Vikings on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in March.

Wildwood Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julia Wallace, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Wallace's first of the season.

Wildwood Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Atlantic City, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

Looking ahead, Wildwood Catholic will welcome Lower Cape May on Friday. As for Atlantic City, they will venture away from home to challenge Camden County Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
