After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arlington Heights, Polytechnic was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wyatt Chaparrals an 8-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Parrots in their matchups with the Chaparrals: they've now won five in a row.

Polytechnic's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-9-1. As for Wyatt, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

Looking ahead, Polytechnic will head out to take on North Side at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Wyatt, they will host South Hills at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
