Football Recap: East View's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East View can now relate to. They lost 36-16 to the Midlothian Panthers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Panthers are ranked 147th).

When it comes to explaining why East View lost, don't look at Jayvion Clater. Despite the final result, he rushed for 151 yards and one score on only 15 carries. Clater's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Midlothian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Archie led the charge by rushing for 89 yards and one TD. Jonathan Azunna was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and one touchdown.

East View's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Midlothian, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

East View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midlothian, they will square off against West Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wranglers' defense has only allowed 12.3 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
