Softball Game Preview: Bryant Hornets vs. Sheridan Yellowjackets

The Bryant Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Sheridan Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryant will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Bryant is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Central on Thursday as they made off with a 20-0 win. Give the Hornets' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sheridan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past White Hall 3-2.

Sheridan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bryant, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1.

Bryant skirted past Sheridan 8-6 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
