Softball Game Preview: West De Pere Phantoms vs. Manitowoc Lincoln Ships

West De Pere has gone a perfect 3-0 against Manitowoc Lincoln recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Phantoms will host the Ships at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Saturday, West De Pere needed a bit of extra time to put away Two Rivers. They had just enough and edged out the Purple Raiders 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Phantoms have posted since April 29th.

Meanwhile, Manitowoc Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 14-0 to Bay Port.

Manitowoc Lincoln saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordin Popp, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

West De Pere's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.

West De Pere beat Manitowoc Lincoln 9-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Phantoms have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ships turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
