Recap: Liberty Hawks vs. Mendota Aztecs

The Liberty Hawks and the Mendota Aztecs squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Liberty Hawks had to settle for second. They were the victim of a tough 83-62 loss at the hands of the Aztecs. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Liberty struggled afterwards.

Gavin Patton and Titus Johnson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Patton scored 19 points, while Johnson scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaac Nolasco, who scored seven points.

Liberty dropped their record down to 9-18 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mendota, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-8.
