Basketball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Francis Parker. The Pumas had to suffer through a 67-38 loss at the hands of the Lancers. The matchup marked the Pumas' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Perry's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Trinity Jones, who went 5-for-6 en route to 12 points, and Bella Burcar, who posted eight points. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Perry fell to 9-1. As for Francis Parker, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Perry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-54 loss against Centennial on the 20th. As for Francis Parker, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-49 victory against Clovis on the 20th.
