Baseball Recap: Connell Comes Up Short

Connell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-6 to the Naches Valley Rangers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 27, 2024.

Connell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Naches Valley, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Connell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Columbia at 11:00 a.m. on April 12. As for Naches Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Overlake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Overlake's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Naches Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
