Baseball Recap: Great Hearts Northern Oaks Takes a Loss

Great Hearts Northern Oaks was the 13-11 winner over Cole when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Griffins fell 9-6 to the Cougars on Friday. The Griffins just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Josh Stasney was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Mathias Garcia was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks' loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Cole, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.

Looking ahead, Great Hearts Northern Oaks will be playing in front of their home fans against Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ro-Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.08 runs per game on average), something the Griffins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cole, they will venture away from home to square off against Poteet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
