Basketball Recap: Adams Takes a Loss

Adams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 59-41 bruising from the West Mesquite Wranglers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 826th, while the Wranglers are ranked 130th).

Despite the defeat, Adams saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chris Robinson almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Robinson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Welden Walls, who posted six points and six boards.

Adams' loss dropped their record down to 15-18. As for West Mesquite, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 26-4.

As of now, neither Adams nor the Wranglers have any future games scheduled.
