Volleyball Game Preview: St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors vs. Faith Christian Patriots + How To Watch

The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors will challenge the Faith Christian Patriots at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas More Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Wednesday, St. Thomas More Academy got the win against Carolina Friends by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Thomas More Academy took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-5, 25-12.

Cecilia Dornan and Mary Frances Watkins were among the main playmakers for St. Thomas More Academy as the former had five aces and the latter had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Watkins has posted over her last six contests. Paulina Meyring also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: St. Thomas More Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian made easy work of Wayne Country Day on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won four in a row.

Faith Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-4, 25-18.

Faith Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for St. Thomas More Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
