Baseball Recap: Draughn Comes Up Short

Draughn lost against St. Stephens back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Draughn Wildcats lost 15-5 to the St. Stephens Indians. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Griffin Stephens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Draughn's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Stephens, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Draughn will host South Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Stephens, they will welcome Foard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Stephens is facing Foard at the right time seeing as Foard is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
