Flag Football Game Preview: Westlake Warriors vs. Calabasas Coyotes + Official Tickets

The Westlake Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Calabasas Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westlake will be strutting in after a victory while Calabasas will be coming in after a loss.

Westlake will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Oaks Christian on Wednesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 39-13 win. Considering the Warriors have won nine games by more than 20 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Westlake's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Addie Mackins with two sacks. Olivia Elsokary got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Calabasas' offense. They were outmatched by Oaks Christian and fell 43-0.

Calabasas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Westlake, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Everything came up roses for Westlake against Calabasas when the teams last played back in September, as the squad secured a 39-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
