League recap: Viera paces 7A District 3 with three wins over past week

7A District 3 league recap: 3/27/13

Top honors in the league this week go to Viera, which finished with three wins overall, good for best in the league. The Hawks beat Tampa Catholic 6-1 and Space Coast 6-0.

Randy Cianciotto was the hottest hitter in 7A District 3 this week, racking up a .500 average with five RBIs. Meanwhile, University put together a 1-0 week.

The Titans' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 15 hits and two walks to lead the league in both categories.

University's Reid Henley kept his eye on the prize while at bat this week, leading the league with a .545 average (6-for-11). His average for the season stands at .340, which ranks fifth in the league. Henley has 16 hits total this season.



Henley led the league with six hits this week for the Titans. On the season, he's hitting .340 and ranks fourth in the league with 16 hits.
