Soccer Game Preview: Kingwood Park vs. Pasadena

Kingwood Park is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will look to defend their home pitch against the Pasadena Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Kingwood Park will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kingwood Park challenged Dekaney on Tuesday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Kingwood Park were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Pasadena lost 5-2 to Splendora on Friday. While losing is never fun, Pasadena can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Splendora are ranked 206th).

The victory got Kingwood Park back to even at 4-4-2. As for Pasadena, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Kingwood Park came up short against Pasadena in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, falling 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
