Football Game Preview: Colo-NESCO Royals vs. GMG Wolverines

The Colo-NESCO Royals will challenge the GMG Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Colo-NESCO was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-40 to Baxter.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask GMG). They claimed a resounding 80-16 win over Meskwaki Settlement. The Wolverines have beaten the Warriors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Colo-NESCO's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for GMG, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Colo-NESCO against GMG in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, as the team secured a 77-22 win. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
