League recap: Fishers extends winning streak with victory over Brownsburg

Hoosier Crossroads recap October 22, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in Hoosier Crossroads this week, Fishers beat Brownsburg 41-17. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Tigers.

Noblesville took down Harrison 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Nick Ferrer threw for 189 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 17-20 with 0 interceptions.

Tyler Janney provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Hamilton Southeastern topped McCutcheon. He completed 10 passes for 146 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 98 yards. Janney's key target this week was Kyle Schrank, who caught 4 passes for 57 yards.

Ferrer and Elvin Caldwell gave Westfield a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Teammate Brandon Karsnick added to the ground attack by rushing for 78 yards.

Fishers' Connor Christiansen and J-Shun Harris led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Christiansen has thrown for 1,738 yards this season, while Harris has 45 catches for 781 yards. Toks Akinribade from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 871 yards.

The Millers are currently in fifth, while Rick Wimmer's team is in second.

Avon and Zionsville played the most contested game in the league this week, with Avon eventually emerging with a 12-7 victory.
