Preview: Comer Catamounts vs. Bulls College Prep Bulls
Comer and Bulls College Prep are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Comer Catamounts will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bulls College Prep Bulls at 5:30 p.m. Comer will be strutting in after a win while Bulls College Prep will be coming in after a defeat.
Comer was handed a 37-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against UIC College Prep on Thursday. Comer skirted past UIC College Prep 32-30. The victory was just what Comer needed coming off of a 63-26 loss in their prior contest.
Comer found their leader in underclassman Ra'Quima Wilson, who scored 20 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least a third of Comer's points.
Bulls College Prep suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 65-22 loss at the hands of Johnson. Bulls College Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.
Comer's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Bulls College Prep, they bumped their record down to 7-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Comer came up short against Bulls College Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 31-18. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bulls College Prep's Saniyah Smith, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Now that Comer knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
