Guthrie typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Newcastle proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Bluejays by a score of 10-6. The victory was nothing new for the Racers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jackson Schanuel was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had over his last nine games. Tyler Frazier was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Newcastle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Newcastle's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Guthrie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Newcastle is taking a road trip to square off against Lone Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Racers 2.5, the Longhorns 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Guthrie, they will host Western Heights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
