Basketball Recap: Salina Comes Up Short

Salina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 56-31 to the Kansas Comets. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Comets are ranked 101st).

Salina's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Kansas, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salina has already played their next contest (against Inola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kansas will take on Adair at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Adair will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Kansas surely won't give up without a fight.
