Basketball Game Preview: Carolina Friends Quakers vs. The Burlington School Spartans

Carolina Friends hasn't had much luck against The Burlington School recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Carolina Friends Quakers will venture away from home to face off against The Burlington School Spartans at 5:30 p.m.

Carolina Friends is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 22-20 heartbreaker at the hands of Cristo Rey Research Triangle. One positive for the Quakers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, The Burlington School entered their tilt with Crossroads Christian on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Colts. The win was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Colts are ranked 127th).

The Burlington School's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Carolina Friends, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
