Ennis's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down Greenville 24-8. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Ennis' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Greenville is ranked 695th).

CHRIS MARTINEZ was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 191 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 46 yards and one touchdown. ANDRE IBANEZ did his part by putting the 'special' in special teams, booting in three field goals.

The victory got Ennis back to even at 3-3. As for Greenville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ennis will square off against rival Terrell at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: WENDERIUS JONES and JULIAN ASHLEY. Meanwhile, Greenville is set to take on their familiar foe Corsicana at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
