Basketball Game Preview: DC International Dragons vs. SEED DC

The DC International Dragons will take on SEED DC at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with DC International sitting on four straight wins and SEED DC on 12.

DC International played against Girls Global Academy and won via forfeit.

SEED DC is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Washington Leadership Academy, who was ranked 25th at the time (SEED DC was ranked sixth). SEED DC blew past Washington Leadership Academy 44-3 on Tuesday. SEED DC has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

DC International has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.7 points per game. As for SEED DC, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Everything went DC International's way against SEED DC in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as DC International made off with a 64-43 win. In that contest, DC International amassed a halftime lead of 38-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
