Baseball Game Preview: Atkins Red Devils vs. Lamar Warriors

Atkins' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Hackett 9-0. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, while it was Lamar who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Lavaca who put up more. The Warriors fell 7-4 to the Golden Arrows.

Kasen Humphrey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Lamar has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14-1 record this season. As for Atkins, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Lamar's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Atkins hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. It's a different story for Lamar, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Atkins' hitters?
