After a string of four wins, Jersey's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waterloo Bulldogs. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Jersey lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ella Smith, who posted 14 points and three steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Breden, who earned six points along with eight boards and five steals.

Jersey's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Waterloo, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Jersey will head out to challenge St. Charles at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Jersey is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. Waterloo and Marissa/Coulterville will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
