Softball Game Preview: Moorefield Yellow Jackets vs. Berkeley Springs Indians

The Moorefield Yellow Jackets will head out to challenge the Berkeley Springs Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moorefield will be strutting in after a victory while Berkeley Springs will be coming in after a loss.

Moorefield gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Philip Barbour as they made off with a 13-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Berkeley Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 28-3 to Spring Mills.

Berkeley Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Moorefield, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Moorefield took their victory against Berkeley Springs when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
