Baseball Recap: Episcopal Academy Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Episcopal Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Blue Devils, sneaking past 5-3. Winning may never get old, but the Churchmen sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Episcopal Academy pushed their record up to 17-8-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
