Basketball Recap: Abby Reed Key Part of Team Effort in Cardinals Win

Jefferson Christian Academy posted their closest victory since November 16, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Blue Ridge Christian Bears 35-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Reed, who went 7-for-17 en route to 15 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The matchup was Reed's third in a row with at least 15 points. Hallie Merrix was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Jefferson Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-5.

As of now, neither Jefferson Christian Academy nor Blue Ridge Christian have any future games scheduled.
