Hoover proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 12) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Avon Eagles and snuck past 8-6.
Daniel Holihan looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
