Basketball Recap: Crown Point Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Crown Point duked it out withSchroon Lake on Wednesday. The Crown Point Panthers took a hard 71-53 fall against the Schroon Lake Wildcats. The Panthers were probably out for revenge after losing 63-55 to them when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Crown Point lost, don't look at Trevor Harris. Despite the final result, he posted 36 points. The matchup was Harris' 35th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austyn Taylor, who put up eight points.

Crown Point has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Schroon Lake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Crown Point will head out on the road to take on Boquet Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Crown Point is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season. As for Schroon Lake, they will take on Keene Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Schroon Lake has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three contests.
