Basketball Recap: David City Takes a Loss

David City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 49-35 to the Fort Calhoun Pioneers.

Fort Calhoun got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Bouwman out in front who posted 11 points. Bouwman is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ansley Elofson, who earned 11 points and five steals.

David City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Fort Calhoun, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

David City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-27 win against Lakeview on the 21st. As for Fort Calhoun, they will welcome Ralston at 12:30 p.m. on December 30th. Fort Calhoun is facing Ralston at the right time seeing as Ralston is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
