Volleyball Recap: Pensacola Catholic Starts Season with Win Against Destin

Pensacola Catholic took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Destin Sharks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Pensacola Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23, 25-16.

Ava Bradley paced Pensacola Catholic's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bradley got some help from Madison Walker and her 19 assists. Gracelyn Wienmayer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pensacola Catholic will face off against Choctawhatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Destin, they will square off against Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
