Basketball Recap: Whitney Comes Up Short

Whitney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tenaha Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1094th, while the Tigers are ranked 362nd).

Whitney's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Tenaha, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Whitney didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-58 defeat against West on the 13th. As for Tenaha, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-46 loss against Burnet on the 13th.
