Basketball Recap: Llano Sets Scoring Season-High Against Florence

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Llano). They strolled past the Florence Buffaloes with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-33. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 44-16 on January 10th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Llano to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Priem, who posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave Priem a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Parrish, who scored 11 points.

Llano pushed their record up to 11-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Florence, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 18 of their last 20 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Llano will challenge Comfort at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Llano is facing Comfort at the right time seeing as Comfort is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Florence, they will venture away from home to challenge Blanco at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
