Baseball Recap: El Paso Comes Up Short

If El Paso was riding high fresh off their 12-4 takedown of Rincon/University on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The El Paso Tigers lost 8-1 to the Sunnyside Blue Devils on Saturday.

El Paso has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. Sunnyside now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, El Paso will be playing at home against Americas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Americas' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so El Paso's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sunnyside, they will venture away from home to square off against Gilbert at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
