 The Murray Spartans will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against the Salem Hills Skyhawks at 3:00  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Murray scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. They never let Cottonwood onto the board and left with  a   16-0  victory. The  win was familiar territory for Murray who now have four in a row.
  Savana Whitlock was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Whitlock was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news, Murray got a  massive  performance out of  Eleanor Myers, who  went 2-for-2 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Lauren Harrison, who  went 2-for-2 with a  home run and two  runs.
 Meanwhile, Salem Hills had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  a  12-2 margin over the Golden Eagles. That's two games straight that Salem Hills has won by  exactly ten  runs.
  Rilyne Keck was a standout: she went 4-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  double.  Camryn Guest was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Murray pushed their record up to 6-5 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs per game. As for Salem Hills, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
 Thursday's   match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Murray has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .507. However, it's not like Salem Hills struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .479. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
