Harlan proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Shelby Valley Wildcats 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Green Dragons sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Jordyn Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up eight Ks. She also set a new season-high mark in stolen bases with two.

On the hitting side, Ella Farley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and three runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ella Lisenbee was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Harlan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Harlan pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.
