Softball Game Preview: Pendleton County Wildcats vs. Grant County Braves

The Pendleton County Wildcats will take on the Grant County Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pendleton County is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since April 22nd on Saturday. They skirted past Mason County 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grant County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Henry Clay with a sharp 11-1 victory on Saturday.

Pendleton County's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Grant County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10-1.

Pendleton County beat Grant County 4-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
