Millard hasn't had much luck against South Sevier recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams  at 3:30  p.m. Millard has given up an average of 12.5  runs per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Millard is headed into Friday's   game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game  on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  13-2 to Delta, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Meanwhile, South Sevier waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by  a  9-2 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 13 contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Ryker Freeman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out ten batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. That  double marked the first that  he has  hit this season.
 In other pitching news,  Stockton Roberts looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Kameron Hessey, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Peyton Ingram, who  went 4-for-5 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 South Sevier  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richfield only posted  an  OBP of  .281.
 Millard's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for South Sevier, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.
