Volleyball Recap: Bishop Walsh Takes a Loss

Bishop Walsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northern Garrett Huskies, falling 3-0. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Huskies when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-1, 25-13.

Northern Garrett got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marisa Perez out in front who had 29 assists and six aces. Perez has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 23 times she's played. Samara Streets also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Bishop Walsh's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Northern Garrett, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Bishop Walsh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northern Garrett, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Southern at 6:00 p.m.
