Football Game Preview: Benjamin Franklin Electrons vs. High School of the Future Firebirds

The Benjamin Franklin Electrons will challenge the High School of the Future Firebirds at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Benjamin Franklin 12, High School of the Future 13.8) so any points scored will be well earned.

Benjamin Franklin came into this matchup off a tough 22-point loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Academy at Palumbo by a score of 14-12 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Electrons have suffered since September 28, 2024.

Meanwhile, High School of the Future had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory.

High School of the Future's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Benjamin Franklin, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Benjamin Franklin suffered a grim 28-6 defeat to High School of the Future in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Electrons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
