Baseball Recap: Westosha Central Triumphs

Westosha Central won the last time they faced Burlington and things went their way on Monday too. The Falcons skirted past the Demons 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Westosha Central got a great performance from Brody Schulte as he struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Schulte has posted since back in June of 2024.

On the hitting side, Tytus Nichter was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. MJ Scarbalis Jr. was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Westosha Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Westosha Central's record now sits at 5-3. As for Burlington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Burlington will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Franklin at 4:30 p.m. Westosha Central will be paying especially close attention to the Demons' matchup: after the Demons face off against the Sabers, they'll take on Westosha Central again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
