League recap: Deckerville bests Carsonville-Port Sanilac in blowout

North Central Thumb - South (8 Man) recap Oct. 30, 2012

Deckerville took down Carsonville-Port Sanilac 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nick Pagel threw for 27 yards and ran for 134 yards in the win.

North Huron and Peck played the most hotly contested game in North Central Thumb - South (8 Man) this week, with North Huron eventually emerging with a 14-8 victory. Brandon Moore ran for 196 yards and caught one passes for five yards in the win.

Thanks to the talents of Kyle Case and Moore the Warriors have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Case leads the league in passing with 778 yards, while Moore has rushed for 1933 yards this season. Caseville's Chase Lowers leads the league in receiving yards with 395 on 20 catches.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Eagles and North Huron. Deckerville enters the game ranked second in the state, while the Warriors ranks eighth.

There should be lots of points scored when the Eagles and North Huron face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Deckerville comes in having scored 376 this season, while the Warriors have scored 305. The Eagles scored 42 points last week as they bested the Tigers.

Deckerville led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Carsonville-Port Sanilac. Pagel in the win.
