Softball Recap: Chapin Has No Trouble Against Dutch Fork

Chapin won the last time they faced Dutch Fork and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles blew past the Silver Foxes 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Chapin has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Dutch Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chapin will venture away from home to take on Lexington at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests. As for Dutch Fork, they are taking a road trip to challenge Wando at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
